As an ordained pastor with the Potomac Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, Joanne has been at the forefront of ministry and community impact. She planted BeLove Church in Washington, D.C., and is currently leading the establishment of BeLove NoVA in Virginia, creating spaces for connection, healing, and growth. Joanne is married to José Cortes Jr., Associate Ministerial Director at the North American Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
